The world-famous book of (ex)changes, the Yi Jing, is the most consulted book globally in the search for insight and wisdom. There are numerous translations and interpretations in almost every language. There are however many aspects of the Yi Jing that get little attention.

The Yi Jing gives you a better understanding of life, nature and the underlying organizational principles and relations, thereby providing you with tools to improve your life and help you with difficult choices. Our short courses are an introduction into its applications and philosophical aims. In extension of this we have a Master degree program combining language and translation studies and background ethics and culture studies to comprehend the Yi Jing. For this we cooperate with specialists in Europe and Daoist and Confucian China

Yi Jing Course
The Yi Jing is the most widely consulted book in a world looking for insight and wisdom. There are countless translations and interpretations in every language. Despite this, there are many facets of the Yi Jing that are rarely mentioned.

The Oriental College is one of the first study centers in the world where the Yi can be studied so extensively. The Yi course deals with all facets of the Chinese Book of Changes: its history, philosophy, usage throughout the centuries. The book has been a source of inspiration for all schools of philosophy and sciences in China, including magic, medicine, religion and science. A thorough knowledge of the Yi Jing is thus a must for everyone interested in in-depth knowledge of the Chinese culture. Concepts such as yin 陰 and yang 陽, yi 易, wuxing 五行, Dao 道 and li 理, that form the foundation of Chinese culture, are extensively dealt with. Applications up to now not known in the West will also be revealed.

For those who are interested in an in depth study of the Yi Jing we offer a full master program after which you will be an expert in methods and use of the Yi Jing. Career possibilities are Yi Jing consultant or researcher, but many more appliances can be thought of for which this study of the Yi will give you the proper foundation.
