Dietary advisor

General course for dietary advice founded on Chinese ideas on food and food preparation to work in a health centre, acupuncture practice, spa or beauty parlor/clinic. The course prepares for consultancy in learning to eat better, highlights in preparing food and choice of food for the purpose of a better quality of life using healthy food.

What will it get you?
The course contains theory and practice. At the end there is an exam and there will be an apprenticeship. After successful completion you will get a certificate TCM Dietary consultant A.
Yearly postgraduate schooling is required for maintaining and development of quality. The facelift manager gets a combined STE-IOC seal and a plaquette which remains the property of the IOC.

What will you learn?
The course consists of simplified theory and speeded up practice studies, which prepare to for immediate work in the field. Theory: anatomy and physiology according to traditional classic Chinese and Western science.
- Extension of foundational knowledge is concentrated on food and food-supplements in relation to theory and possible effect on our bodies and gives a guideline in determining what is healthy and not healthy with a critical eye to laws on food. There is also attention for allergies and other contra-indications.

Practice:
Taste methods and procedures, learning to instruct “Eating with pleasure and health”. With, amongst other things, food preparation in TCM, learning to enjoy food, taste and smell, cleanness, instruments for food and their effect on food experience.

Career possibilities:
Cooperating in a health centre, acupuncture practice, spa or beauty parlor as Dietary advisor and instructor TCM dietics.
